A global investment hub
Our host country Morocco is a strategic investment hub thanks to its geopolitical position as a crossroad between Europe, the Gulf States and Africa. Morocco’s energy strategy strongly emphasizes the importance of South-South Cooperation.
The country has an ambitious vision of renewable energy development; by 2030, renewable energy will represent 52% of the total installed capacity. EnergyNet will build on the successes of our two previous editions, held with official Patronage of His Majesty the King, Mohammed VI, King of Morocco and the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development, MASEN, ONEE, ONHYM and AMEE.
From the perspective of Moroccan expertise, we will share case studies of successful projects in the renewable energy space, such as the Noor Ouarzazate, Tarfaya and Khalladi. The session “Regional Focus: North Africa” will explore the critical investment opportunities in order for projects relying on regional co-operation to be realised.
